All About Sukhna Lake 2024

Sukhna Lake is a rain fed lake (reservoir), located in Chandigarh.

It is a man-made lake, built in 1958 by Le Corbusier (architect of Chandigarh).

Sukhna lake is in the foothills of the Shivalik Hills.

It's main objective is to collect runoff water from the hills.

This lake was declared as "National Wetland" in 1988.
